When you shop at or make a contribution to the Love of Jesus Thrift store you do so much more than get a good deal or save money on taxes. You become part of a ministry that is making a difference in the lives of thousands of people in Richmond, Virginia. Many of the dedicated workers in the store live in or have graduated from The ROC discipleship homes where they dedicate themselves to making a new start in life putting God first. Some were addicted to drugs and alcohol a few months ago and now they are addicted to serving Jesus!
100% of the proceeds from the Love of Jesus Thrift Store go to support the outreach ministries of The ROC. There are now over 140 ministries offered to the community free of charge.
Some of these include:
- After School Program for Richmond Youth
- Discipleship Homes for men and women addicted to drugs and alcohol
- Computer classes for adults and children
- Food Ministry, giving away 1,500 bags of food a month
- Baseball and basketball teams for children
- Adopt-A-Block Ministry
- ESL and Adult Literacy classs
- Spanish Ministries reaching out to the Spanish community.
